On August 3, 2020, a new nursery was opened
at Rolna 14 in Katowice (near the Obi store) It is Montessori nursery
The nursery has been created as part of an EU project that lasts until July 31, 2022
Fee
The fee is 930 PLN. The price for the stay of the child includes: professional childcare by qualified staff and educational, movement, music, art classes and the necessary materials for the above-mentioned activities. Each child has their own bedding, towel, potty, if they use it, and all care products. Registration fee is PLN 300
Parents bring diapers depending on wear.
If the child is not picked up by 5:30 p.m., after closing the nursery, the fee for each commenced hour is PLN 30.
Boarding
Catering is provided by Vesuvio Company. Meals are prepared from high-quality products, with a small amount of sugar, puddings on plant milk, homemade jelly based on mixed fruit, pates, jams, homemade cakes adapted to the age of the child. The cost is PLN 19 per day according to attendance (breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea).
Few words about Montessori
“Help me do it myself”
Maria Montessori’s method of pedagogy focuses primarily on the individual development of the child, follows the child, and offers them the opportunity to develop at their own pace. Each child goes through the so-called sensitive periods in which they want to play according to their interests, even if it is a temporary fascination with a phenomenon, toy or activity such as pouring water from a vessel into a vessel, letting sth flow, stacking or whatever. When working with a child, we give them a choice and the child gains knowledge and competences thanks to his spontaneous activity and work with a given material. The guardian is to support the child, help if they desire it, but most of all he should observe the child and draw conclusions as a consequence of which he should provide the child with further developing aids, toys or materials. This method stresses the organization of the environment during “work” and to creating an appropriate space for the child. This method also emphasizes contact with nature, thanks to which children often go for walks or the playground.
Additional Activities
Rhythm and dance lessons are organized by Time4 Events Sp. z o.o., and are held once a week according to the schedule. Dog Education – twice a month, Music classes once a week. English are used every day in converation with babysitters. The costs of extracurricular activities are covered by nursery
We provide very good housing conditions – each group has two rooms at its disposal: a toilet suitable for small children, space for prams. Our qualified guardians carefully observe the development of your children, adjusting the forms of play to the child’s abilities, while supporting the emotional and motoric development of the child.
During the child’s stay, there is time for meals, play and sleep, adapting to the age and needs of the child.
The Non-public Nursery Słonik is a place for 66 children, who are taken care of by 9 babysitters and 3 ladies to help.
There are three groups. Group number 1 and 2 are groups with Montessori elements and number 3 is Montessori group. However, it is not age that determines belonging to a group, but the degree of development of the child, the willingness to participate in various organized activities. In the nursery, we perform various art works, there are music, rhythm and movement lessons, all of which are fantastic fun.
I encourage you to get individual accident insurance. Parents can choose the insurance company and type of policy themselves. Accident insurance protects children against accidents for 24 hours.
